My practice often begins with a perceptual discrepancy. When entering a particular environment, I may encounter something that appears unusual, unsettling, or difficult to understand, while those who live within that environment respond to it as entirely ordinary. I take this difference not as proof that something is inherently wrong, but as a point of departure: why has this condition become unremarkable, and through what processes has it become part of everyday perception?

Through fieldwork, observation, interviews, and moving image, I trace how spatial organization, architecture, infrastructure, and repeated routines shape ways of moving, seeing, inhabiting, and judging. I am particularly interested in the moment when prescriptions embedded in an environment cease to be perceived as external conditions and begin to feel like habit, common sense, or personal choice.

Moving image is not simply a means of documenting these environments. Through montage, repetition, compression, and the reorganization of spatial relations, I disturb their habitual readability. Actions that remain dispersed across days or years can be brought together, allowing patterns normally concealed by familiarity to become perceptible again.

Rather than offering a prescribed interpretation or solution, my work seeks to produce a shift in perception: a moment in which what seemed natural can once again be questioned, and other ways of understanding or acting become possible.
